A mom from the United Kingdom had the best intentions when she asked a friend to bake her daughter a cake for her 21st birthday. But thanks to an autocorrect fail, the cake didn’t turn out quite as expected.
Emily Seggie shared the story on Twitter about how her mom asked for a “wee blonde girl” to be placed on top of the birthday cake for her sister, Laura, and how they got a “wee blind girl” instead.
She wrote, “My mum’s friend baked the cake and my mum at last minute texted her to ask for a blonde girl on top….The text must have autocorrected to ‘blind girl’ and when my mum went to collect it she was wondering why it wasn’t blonde. They then realised what had happened after checking the text and decided to leave it on as was funny. Hope no one is offended.”
The Tweet has been retweeted over 15,000 times and favorited by nearly 24,000 people!
This is hilarious. Next time I’m sure mom will make an actual phone call instead of sending a text when requesting cake decorations.
Makes you think twice, doesn’t it?
